Born in Kerala India. 1945.

Diploma in painting from CKP College of Art, Bengaluru. One year specialization in graphic print making at GHARHI-the National Academy’s community studio in New Delhi.

Yusuf Arakkal has extensively traveled world over and had television appearances on BBC, CNN, CNBC, Star Plus, NDTV and many Indian channels. Print Media coverage By New York Times, Le Populaire, South China Morning Post, Asian Art News and most of the Indian Newspapers and periodicals. He writes poetry, wrote art criticism for the Times of India, published numerous articles on art in many English newspapers and periodicals. His works are in many private and institutional collections all over the world. His works were auctioned by Sotheby’s, Christies, Bonhams, Asprey of London and New York and by Lara Sati in Singapore.
